Something fairly "punchy", that they can take in immediately. Don't make them work for that connection - that's our job.

And I think it's good to start with a sentence that makes the reader feel that they're already in the middle of something. That should help to draw them into the rest of the story - it's all about making them want to know what happens NEXT, right? :)Ruth Fanshawhttp://ruthfanshaw.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13639087.post-31158853421126294782012-03-09T09:32:10.145-05:002012-03-09T09:32:10.145-05:00I am now going to go and do this...I am now going to go and do this...Celeste85https://www.blogger.com/profile/05575580291868960322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13639087.post-89909263959989247042012-03-08T15:27:58.124-05:002012-03-08T15:27:58.124-05:00Thanks for the kind words, Gale! :DThanks for the kind words, Gale! :DAmi Hendricksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16113842141579251283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13639087.post-40482825691597070172012-03-08T15:12:47.287-05:002012-03-08T15:12:47.287-05:00Really great post (and pep talk), Ami!Really great post (and pep talk), Ami!Gale Martinhttp://galemartin.menoreply@blogger.com
